Marvel comics strikes web casino deal

Online casino game developer CryptoLogic has secured a multi-year licensing agreement with comic book firm Marvel Enterprises, home to super hero brands such as X-Men, Blade and The Hulk.

The deal will makes CryptoLogic the sole developer of Marvel-branded casino slot games on the Internet. Under the agreement, an initial six Marvel-themed, multi-currency jackpot video slot games are set for release this autumn. Players have the chance to win cash prizes in US dollars, Euros and Pounds Sterling.

Characters including The Hulk, Daredevil, The X-Men, Blade and The Punisher will feature in five new 9-line progressive jackpot video slot games. The new games offer multi-stage, interactive bonus levels with three separate jackpots available to be won. In addition, The Hulk will feature his own Fruit Machine game.

The deal, announced today but signed in late 2004, was made through CryptoLogic's wholly-owned subsidiary, WagerLogic.
